Holiday with Your Dog
Dogs are welcome only in selected rooms, as some rooms are reserved for guests with allergies. Please inform us about your dog when making your reservation. Without prior notice, we cannot guarantee availability, as we only accept a limited number of dogs per week.
Dog Rates per Day (Food Not Included)
- Small dogs (3–5 kg): € 15
- Medium and large dogs (5–30 kg): € 20
Final Cleaning Fee
For dogs that shed heavily (e.g. Siberian Huskies), we reserve the right to charge an additional final cleaning fee of € 50 upon departure.
Liability & Responsibility
Dog owners are fully responsible for any damage caused by their pets at Berghotel Zum Zirm. Any resulting costs will be charged accordingly.
Information for Dog Owners
- Dogs are welcome in selected rooms (please indicate this when booking).
- Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the hotel premises.
- Please bring your own dog bed or blanket. If anything is missing, we will be happy to assist.
- Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, spa area, ans spa sunbathing lawn.
- Please dispose of dog waste responsibly - thank you.
- Kindly keep all public areas clean.
- Please be considerate of other guests and animals.
Dining Together – With Your Dog
For guests travelling with dogs, a separate seating area is available in the bar if your dog is not accustomed to staying alone in the room (please request a table with your dog when booking).
- Dogs are also welcome on the terrace, in the bar, lobby, and lounge areas.
- These guidelines help ensure a relaxing holiday experience for guests both with and without dogs.
Nature & Surroundings
Located at 1,530 metres above sea level on the Renon plateau, Berghotel zum Zirm is surrounded by nature. Meadows, forests, and numerous walking trails begin right outside the hotel, offering ideal conditions for relaxing walks with your dog. Your dog is welcome to run freely on our private meadow, always with consideration for other guests and animals. Fresh mountain air, open space, and nature await directly at our doorstep.
Public Transport in South Tyrol
Dogs must wear a muzzle when travelling on public transport, including cable cars, trains, and buses.
Tickets for Dogs
Important information from 1 June 2025: The Mobil Card Junior is no longer valid for dog transportation. Dogs must be kept on a leash and may not occupy seats. Small dogs travelling in a carrier travel free of charge as "luggage". More information available HERE.
Dogs travelling without a carrier require a ticket:
- Single journey: € 2,00 / Day ticket: € 3,50
Tickets are available from:
Ticket machines in Soprabolzano (Oberbozen) and Collalbo (Klobenstein). South Tyrol Mobility Information Point (upper station of the Renon Cable Car, Soprabolzano and Bolzano). Dog tickets remain valid for one year and are activated upon first validation. Multiple tickets may be purchased in advance.
